Our Story

Mexico - Saint Malo. On this line between two continents, the first pages of the history of Fournisseur de Pierres, your mineral wholesaler, were written.

At the end of the 2000s, Sylvain Pean, a Frenchman staying in Mexico, discovered the enchanting beauty of a sacred stone in the local culture: obsidian. During this trip, he also met Paulina Méndez, his future wife. From this meeting was born an ambitious project: to export obsidian to France.

After exploring Mexican mines and collaborating with many local artisans, Sylvain and Paulina established their workshop for crafting obsidian objects. Immediate success: unique creations, sold in French boutiques, captivated both mineral enthusiasts and those sensitive to their beneficial properties on the body and mind.

FROM LATIN AMERICA TO THE FAR EAST

In 2016, the couple moved to Saint-Malo, in Sylvain's native Brittany. The company Fournisseur de Pierres then gradually moved to a higher level of its development by diversifying its offerings and positioning itself in the European market.

Travel and networking multiplied around the world. Partner workshops in South America, Asia (India, Thailand, ...), Africa (Morocco, Madagascar), and Eastern Europe supply raw stones, cut stones, or stones made into jewelry. Paulina and Sylvain prioritize ethical businesses and companies respectful of workers.

Since 2019, the Saint-Malo warehouse offers more than 3000 references. While obsidian remains a flagship product, it sits alongside fine stones such as
